From Beth & Tom

Faith and the Lovers and Fleurs team are an absolute dream.
Not only was her vision brilliant but the enthusiasm she brought to the planning process made us feel so special and excited through every step of the way, making the whole experience so much more magical. Her artistry is seriously incredible and she transformed our ceremony into such a bright and beautiful space that so perfectly reflected us - and my bouquet was breathtaking! I still gasp when I look back at pictures of her work. Our day would not have been the same without her.

Beth & Tom’s Love Story.

We met back in November of 2016 when we were both just 19. I tagged along with my friend to a work drinks event for the bar that she worked at and the only spare seat was next to Tom. I struck up a conversation with him and we instantly got along and laughed the entire night. From there we just continued chatting as friends and spending time together and thought nothing of it until a couple months down the line when we realised we had well and truly fallen in love with each other! It really was so effortless and unexpected and just felt so natural. 5 years later we had bought our first home together and just put up our first Christmas tree that day; a moment we had dreamt of since first meeting (as we are both big big big Christmas lovers). That evening Tom went to pick up takeaway for dinner, but really he had gone to pick up the ring from his sister’s house. He came home as I was feeding the dog and asked me to come into the living room to look for a new ornament he had put on the tree. I walked over and saw an ornament that read ‘Beff, will you marry me?’ and turned to see him on one knee. It was so surreal that I just cried and cried for a minute and a half before eventually answering his question. Needless to say, my answer was yes.

From Faith

Beth and Tom! Wow, when you meet these two, you can't help but think that they have both found their soulmate in each other, and that this is exactly what true love looks like!

I stayed to watch their ceremony and it was the cutest ceremony I think I've ever seen. In all honesty, I'm not even sure if they heard half of what the celebrant was saying, as you could just see them completely lost in each other's eyes, whispering lovely things to each other and giggling. It was almost as though they were the only two people there, and that all they needed in the world was each other. It was truly heartwarming and beautiful to watch a love like that.

I honestly feel so lucky in this job and all of the beautiful people I meet. Like almost all of my brides, Beth and I had an amazing connection from the very beginning, and every idea that either of us said was met with so much excitement and agreement. There were so many special elements to this wedding.

Starting with the bouquet, we wanted to make it really bohemian and down to earth like Beth, but with a modern and Lovers & Fleurs touch. To do this, we added really long, billowing tulle fabric in place of ribbon that literally puddled onto the floor. We used tulle to perfectly match Beth's veil, and it was almost as though the bouquet had its own veil. It was super cool, modern, and the perfect reflection of Beth's personality.

The other really special thing about Beth and Tom's wedding was that it was held in their backyard. Beth and Tom had recently finished building their dream house, and to hold their wedding there was so fitting, as they both exuded homeliness and such a welcoming feeling. It was the perfect venue for them. The challenge was to transform their backyard from a backyard wedding into a luxe ceremony space.

To do this, we custom-built a complete backdrop + stage for their ceremony. This added a really modern and high-end feel, which we filled with super modern mounds of premium flowers. It was the perfect mix of art, design, and flowers to bring the wow factor to a humble backyard wedding.
